There has been a flurry of legislative activity recently regarding COVID-19, all of which can be very confusing.  Of significance are three bills that were recently signed by Governor Newsom, SB 1159, AB 685 and AB 1867.   To assist you with navigating through these new requirements we compiled the following resources.

Workers’ Compensation Legislative Update:

Employer Reporting Obligations Legislative Update:

Employee COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave Legislative Update:

Assembly Bill 1867 providing COVID-19 specific supplemental paid sick leave was signed by the Governor on September 9, 2020 and is now in effect. More information with highlights of this bill can be found here.
