James brings extensive engineering expertise to his role as Senior Solutions Engineer at GSRMA. He works across departments to identify both general and specific process improvements, customizing services, setting up infrastructure, and building custom tools that expand what the team can accomplish in a cost-effective and scalable way. His background includes leadership roles at Palo Alto Networks, where he served as Senior Manager, Product Security and Senior Staff Product Security Engineer, along with senior engineering roles at Google, Amazon, and Juniper Networks spanning developer tooling, productivity engineering, and software engineering management. James holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Computer Science from California State University, Chico. He is also deeply engaged in Chico's technology education community, having taught at CSU Chico and Butte College for two years each, and is now in his third year working with Inspire School of Arts and Sciences as an asynchronous educator and program advisor.
